State-of-the-Art Equipment
To provide quality care to those in need, only the latest equipment is justified. Operationally Metro maintains a fleet of fully equipped state-of-the-art ambulances built primarily by the Wheeled Coach Ambulance Corporation. Specifications are based on state and national DOT licensing and requirements. Numerous enhancements gathered from our paramedics who staff the ambulances include those modifications and equipment on our units which meet the particular needs in the field. All units are meticulously maintained by in-house personnel and serviced by certified Ford diesel mechanics.
Each Metro ambulance is equipped with telemetry communications, Life Pak cardiac monitors with external pacing, non-invasive blood pressure monitors, pulse-oximetry, and glucometers. All units are equipped with the latest in today's communication technology, with capabilities of reaching multiple fire, police, and medical facilities.
Communications
Telecommunications specialists receive all calls through a state-of-the-art computer aided dispatch center. All dispatchers are certified emergency medical dispatchers.
